Future generations of Spanish Chefs

Yesterday morning Annie B was invited to be part of the judging panel at a cooking competition at the Santa Isabel de Hunrgía bi-lingual school in Jerez.

The brief to the pupils was ''dishes typical of English speaking countries' With over 100+ impressive entries –  lots of cakes, cup cakes, scotch eggs, biscuits and jellies had to be sampled at 9am.

Impressive creations which confirmed just how important food is to all generations in Spain. They will not settle for rubbish and dishes that taste bad.

The winners – cupcakes, scotch eggs, strawberry cheesecake, pan haggerty, cheese bread – were awarded with a book token and a chef's hat.

After prize giving  the barriers went down and the whole school was invited to taste! It was a pleasure to take part.
