Arriving by car to Vejer de La Frontera

If you come along the central route (via Madrid) you should take the N-IV to Sevilla and then the motorway (A-4) to Cádiz. Just after Jerez de la Frontera, turn off towards the N-340 and Algeciras. Vejer is just off the N-340, almost equidistant between Cádiz and Algeciras.

If you come along the Mediterranean Coastal route ( via Barcelona and Valencia and Málaga) follow the N-340 (the Autopista del Mediterráneo) until you reach Vejer.

We recommend you park your car at the entrance to the town on La Corredera or use the public parking and walk into the old town. Vejer is an historical old town with several streets only open to residents.

Hiring a car at Gibraltar Airport:

There are plenty of reasonably priced car hire companies to choose from close to Gibraltar Airport. We suggest you walk across the border and hire a car from La Linea (5 minutes easy walk)

Arriving by bus to Vejer de La Frontera

Vejer has two bus stops, one is La Barca de Vejer which is on the N-340 from Malaga to Cadiz. The other bus stop is in town, next to the Tourist office and about a 5 minute walk to the old town.
