Annie B’s cooking classes in Spain were born out of a passion for sharing the gourmet delights of Vejer and the surrounding areas. From a passion of Food, Wine & Sherry. From a passion that comes from living in the charming and bewitchingly beautiful Pueblo Blanco of Vejer de la Frontera. From a passion of like-minded people getting together, chopping, eating & drinking.

Annie offers a chance to immerse yourself in village life. This is the real thing – you can absorb local life, integrating with the people, the tastes, the colours and the smells. You will be shopping at local markets, meeting the growers, meeting the families when eating tapas in their tapas bars where good food is always served. It is impossible to eat badly in Vejer when cooking in Spain. It is guaranteed that you will discover a whole new world of flavours and food combinations, where less is more and the key ingredients are simplicity and quality.

Whether you are an experienced cook or someone who just enjoys great company, food and wine. Whether you are here for several days or even just a day, you will experience the culture of this fabulous area of Andalucia through its stunning food, wine and Sherry.

Annie offers the opportunity to indulge on a culinary journey of the beautifully unspoilt Costa de La Luz.

Sherry Annie’s love of Sherry

In October 2011, Annie qualified as a Sherry Educator and huge emphasis is put on Sherry – the famous wine of the area, featuring not only as an ingredient in the cooking but always your first reviving drink of the day. No cooking in Spain experince would be complete without dabbling in Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. Sherry is a perfect example of the truism that the wine of an area is made to match the food of the same area. Annie has nurtured wonderful contacts with the Sherry Bodegas within the Sherry Triangle and can organise Bodega visits on your behalf.
