The best way to appreciate the culture of any area is through its food and its wine.
And nowhere is that truer than of southern Spain.
Based in the beautiful – and very typical – Andalucian village of Vejer de la Frontera, our cooking holidays revolve around fabulous, locally sourced ingredients.
It’s Mediterranean cuisine, it’s fresh, it’s sunny, it’s filled with goodness and we want to share it with you.
Is Annie B’s Spanish Kitchen right for you? It is if you want to inject your culinary repertoire with some zippy new ideas. If you have an interest in wine (particularly Sherry). If you love the thought of wandering around a pretty village and stopping off for tapas. If the idea of eating and drinking all day appeals to you (wine only brought out after the knives go!).
You can come for a week (staying in one of Vejer’s beautiful places to stay), or you can come for a day. Come with your kids, your friends, your husband, your wife or your boyfriend. Treat your girlfriend or thank your employees. Or simply come on your own (sociable, fun and educational, our courses make for a perfect solo holiday).
We suit all level of cooks, too. (You don't even need to know how to use a grater!) All you need is an interest in Spain, food and wine.
A visit to Annie B’s is a cooking holiday – and it’s all about learning new techniques, skills and delicious Spanish dishes. But from having coffee in the patio of Casa Alegre to watching the sun set across the rooftops of Vejer with some olives and a glass of fino, it’s also a totally immersive, dawn till dusk Spanish food and drink experience.
This year, to coincide with Jerez being European Wine Capital 2014, we're also offering special Sherry tours
I stumbled across Annie B’s Spanish Kitchen in The Guardian’s review of ‘best family holidays’; I was looking for something different to do with my two children, who were 10 and 8 yrs. old at the time. Johanna, The Hauge
We really enjoyed the cooking, eating the food, the wine, the sherry and your company. Vicky Bramley, London
